Daniel Radcliffe to receive The Trevor Project Hero Award

Daniel Radcliffe' the star of the Harry Potter Movies; will receive the Trevor Project's Hero Award at a ceremony in New York City sometime in June.

"The Trevor Hero Award is presented to individuals who have served as an inspiration and increased visibility and understanding of the LGBTQ community. Past recipients include Vanessa Williams, Nathan Lane, and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black."

  Radcliffe has been a strong celebrity for backing the Trevor Projects outreach "for suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered youths."


Daniel said this when he received the news; "It's fantastic. The fact that they think of what I've done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor."
